Thanksgiving Retreat Recap!

Hey Koinonia! What an amazing retreat this past weekend! We had over 300 people fly/drive in from the various grace point churches, for a total of 1,400 people in attendance. It was an awesome time of hearing how God has been working through our various church plants and ministries (such as Joypact, middle-school church, and Hsinchu, Taiwan). SFSU also came over to Alameda and finally had the sleepover that we had been talking about! It was a packed three days but time seemed to fly by so quickly… at the end, we had to say goodbye to all our out-of-town/state friends. We got to hear about the many lives that God has touched, and be blessed by special elements such as our very own Gracepoint orchestra (some of our SFSU students were in it)! If you missed out on the retreat… well, there’s always next year, and at least you can make it to our upcoming events (whew, November is a packed month!).

This Wednesday, we have life groups at Arballo (bros) and Serrano (sis). On Thursday, we will kick off the most anticipated apologetics conference in the west coast. We will hear from the top minds of Christianity who will lay out logical and compelling arguments for the Christian faith. This is definitely a can’t-miss event! If you’re interested, then contact us HERE. The EPS conference goes from Thursday and ends on Saturday, so feel free to let us know if you want to attend as space is very limited.
Then on Sunday is our annual THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION!! This is when all of our practice and preparations from the previous weeks will culminate into one night of fun (albeit somewhat shameless) performances, tons of good food, and a whole lot of fun. If you want to go, let one of the staff know or contact Chris, our friendly rides czar.
